Wednesday Night With The Slender Fungus

Wednesday night I decided it was finally time to join up with the world renown Slender Fungus Cycling Association. It was something I've been wanting to do for a long time, just never got around to it for some reason or another. I met Ari and Gumby at 9pm and we embarked into the darkness for an excellent ride down the Great Western Trail and a variety of other roads. We totaled around 50mi at a pretty fast pace. Ari rode his bizarre beast of a bike that has come to be known as "The Shocker". Everything he's been saying about night riding is totally correct. There are hardly any cars outside and no traffic to deal with. It's quite peaceful and the darkness adds an element of excitement that you don't get with day time riding. It was a good time and I hope to join them more often.

Hey man, It was great that you had the balls to show up. Every week we just have a blast riding in the dark and actually relaxing from the stresses of work and family. Soon enough the gas station on 64 and 47 will reopen so when it gets cold and we can only make to there it will be great to grab some hot chocolate there.
best,
ari
