Turbo Tuesday on the G-Dub

It wasn't too cold and the sun was warm, but it was extremely windy, and so I opted to spend my Turbo Tuesday on the ever-monotonous Great Western Trail. I felt like taking some photos, so here they are:

The conditions of the trail are currently either "wet sand", in which you feel like you're riding with flat tires, or "frozen sand", which is much easier to pedal on but be ready to monster-truck over the large piles of icy snow still remaining.

I eventually ran into a roadblock that may have been better fit for a fatbike.

I thought I had overdressed initially (wool jersey, wind jacket, bibs, Levi's 511 commuter pants, Surly bandana), but realized I was completely wrong after turning around to face the massive headwind home.

Overall, it was good to get out on the bike alone and see some sun. The season of darkness is coming to an end. I hope...
