1987 Schwinn Super Sport


I recently had the opportunity to refurbish this awesome 1987 Schwinn Super Sport. Lugged frame built with Columbus Tenax double-butted tubing and a Shimano 600 Grouppo. That magenta color is beautiful too. All parts were original except for the tires. I took it for a test ride and it rode a lot better than many of the modern steel bikes I've ridden.

Reinforced bottle cage braze-ons, Biopace chainrings, and Shimano 600.


Very nice-looking rear Tange dropouts with adjustment screws. The "pie plate" was left intact for the customer. However, I do not condone the use of "pie plates".


Original San Marco saddle and a very nice seat cluster. I dig the decals too.


Indexed downtube shifters and nice lugs.

Simply beautiful. I have the same frame built up from mint, NOS condition as a fixie. Really great to see the bike with original grouppo.
