Apple Updates

Apple introduced some newly updated products yesterday, including this tiny iPod nano with touch screen. It sure is small... makes me wonder how easy it is to operate. (that's what she said?)

More info here.

I just thought this was awesome. A real functioning printer made from legos and a felt tip marker.

Adobe CS5

The Adobe Creative Suite 5 is now available. The new Photoshop features this Content-Aware Fill tool that seems unreal. See a video of it in use here, then sell your kidney and buy the Masters Collection for $2,600 here.

Apple iPad

Today is an exciting day for all technology nerds and Apple fanatics. The Apple tablet, now know as the "iPad", was just unveiled today and will soon be taking over the tablet market. I've been watching it live here. For as low as $499, it can be used as a basic laptop with full web browser and apps. Available in a couple months at the earliest.

Read more about it and all that it does here.

A Package Arrived Today

The package from 47th Street Photo arrived today. I got this Opteka fisheye lens. It's technically not a real lens, just a lens attachment. I really couldn't justify spending around $600 on a nice wide angle lens. This is good enough for shooting some fun photos and I'm really impressed with the quality so far.

It's two piece design detaches to leave you with a macro lens for extreme close up shots. It also included a couple conversion rings, lens caps, a cleaning cloth and a nice bag, all for under 30$. My only complaint is that you cannot use the cameras pop-up flash with this lens. Because of it's length it will leave a shadow on the bottom of your pictures. I took a couple shots today and they're up on Flickr.

New iPod Shuffle

The new iPod shuffles are out and they're even more simple and minimalist than the last generation.  The only controls are located on the wire of the headphones, which is convenient, but this means you need apple headphones in order to use the iPod, which is kind of a downside. It looks good though, and it's available in silver and black.

Incase for Macbooks

I've been thinking lately that I should really get a case of some sort to protect my laptop before I destroy it, especially since I often bring it out of the apartment. This new hardshell case from Incase protects the entire body, looks nice and simple and even has rubber feet. It comes in a few colors too, for Macbook or Macbook Pro and goes for around $50.

2 Years In the Making?

Seriously? It took around 2 years to come up with this 'new' font called Droid for Google's mobile platform, Android. Isn't this basically the font already used by apple?
