This past weekend, the fundraiser party for the Almanzo 100 took place in Minneapolis. Ross decided he wanted to go check it out and was looking for a crew to make the trip with him. I was more than willing to tag along, and so the plans were arranged. We went up with a group of 5 and had a blast. We met some cool people, saw some neat stuff, and drank some good drinks. After the party we hit up Pizza Luce, a favorite of the DeKalbians fortunate enough to have experienced it, and drank a couple pitchers of Surly beer - A perfect end to the night.
The city of Minneapolis just offers so much fun and good culture, any excuse is good enough to get up there. The Almanzo is a great event too, and if you have the opportunity, I suggest doing it.

I snapped a bunch of photos of the trip and sight-seeing type stuff too. If you've been following on Instagram, or some other form of social networking bologna, then you've probably seen a bunch of them already, but I might dedicate a separate post to that stuff if I feel motivated enough. It was all just too much fun.

The food at this venue was excellent, as was the service, many of our friends and family still rave about it. My wife and I highly recommend this wedding reception venue.
