Monday Motivation

I enjoyed this recent post over on Tenspeed Hero. Really makes me want to get out there and explore again. Too bad it's like -5 degrees Fahrenheit right now, so I'll probably just lock myself up in the house until we reach double digits again...

Haven't seen a cool T-shirt in a while

...but these new T's from Yonder Journal are both awesome and ridiculous.

"MSOJ art by Joshua Porter. Three-color screen print by hand at LQQK Studios in Brooklyn, New York. Printed on creme American Apparel shirts.

Pictured are Itchy and Scratchy, two bears included in the 1941 torchlight parade in celebration of the State of Jefferson's vote to secede from California and Oregon and form a new state, of which a primary motive was to secure better federal funding for road construction."

Cavin' it Up in Blue Mounds, WI

Illinois Winter "Wilderness"

I feel like there are relatively few state parks here in northern Illinois, but there are a few, and I like to frequent them as often as I can. The weather up here's been unseasonably cold and gloomy and I've had about all the "hibernating" that I can handle. It was tolerable enough to go for a hike last week, so we took a trip out to Starved Rock in Utica and wandered around taking photos and enjoying the fresh air.

Adventure in the Black Hills with La Kruz and Agatha

My good friends Jakey La Kruz and Agatha spent their "spring break" out in South Dakota, exploring the Black Hills by bike. Jake posted some fantastic photos on his Instagram feed, so follow @biglucille and check them out, or just visit his Instagram page here. Looking at these photos really makes me want to get out there and have an adventure of my own.

A couple select photos from his feed can be seen below:
